Day 35: Welcome 2020too!
Hello and Happy New Year!
It’s 2022, or 2020too as one of my friends has brilliantly dubbed it (H/T to Kendrick). But hopefully not. Hopefully 2022 will mark the turning of a new and improved page over the last two years of, well, endless bullshit.
This morning, I am composing directly on my computer, which is an improvement to say the least. I am not sure how I will continue drafting, by hand or electronically. It may depend on the day and time, but it feels good to know I have options and multiple tools.
Try as I might, I remember nothing from New Year’s day last year. Not a single thing. And Jesse, our relationship’s designated rememberer of things (I am the designated schemer of schemes so crazy they just might work), also doesn’t remember much.
But he does recall that we stayed in.
Just like last night.
Just like today.
The more things change, right?
Anyway, I simply feel grateful to have already started my New Year’s resolution — exactly 34 days ago — and that I have 34 days of success under my belt to spur me into this new phase of my life.
And today, I will work on writing my Family Meeting Handbook, which will be coming soon (as promised on my website), but only if I actually write it first. Wish me luck!
